Psychological
Support

It’s normal to have questions about the illness, your treatment, school, or your friends. If you haven’t yet read the information we’ve prepared for you, click here. You can also talk to your doctor, who can help you better understand any concerns you may have.

In fact, there are several changes you may experience:

IN YOUR APPEARANCE

such as weight loss or gain, or hair loss.

IN YOUR ROUTINES

such as missing school or having less contact with your friends.

IN YOUR WELL-BEING

such as pain and fatigue.

Did you know that a psychologist can help you?

A psychologist is someone you can share your feelings, thoughts, and concerns with. Together, you will work to find solutions — it’s a team effort.

How can you find a psychologist?

– Contact the psychologists at the hospital where you are being treated. To do this, speak with your doctor.

– Reach out to Acreditar — we have psychologists working with us who are available to support you. If you are under 18, ask your parents to contact us on your behalf.

Everything you have experienced will have an impact on your life, from more visible ways or not. Some questions, thoughts, worries, or emotions may arise later, even after your treatments have ended.   At that time, you can also contact Acreditar and request the support of a psychologist. You can count on us!

We are here for you!
