One of Acreditar’s main concerns is ensuring that children and young people continue their education and support their integration in school, given that they may spend long periods away from the traditional classroom setting.
We created this informational flyer so that the school community has access to special educational measures and the information necessary for more individualized academic support. This document also includes some examples of materials for raising awareness in schools.
Academic support, in-person or online, for children and young people aged 5 to 18 undergoing cancer treatment. It is free and provided by teachers and early childhood educators.
With a value of €1,500, they aim to minimize the impact of illness and the financial difficulties faced by families, ensuring that young people with cancer attending higher education have the same opportunities as their peers.
A total of 46 young people were supported in the 2025–2026 school year, including both renewals and new awards.
We visit the schools attended by children undergoing treatment, or other schools upon request, with the aim of raising awareness among teachers and classmates to support the child’s successful reintegration into the school environment. To do this, we use educational materials such as books, videos, board games, puppet theater, card games, and more.
